Casa perto do Mar is a former fisherman’s house that has been renovated into a modern townhouse and features a touch of Powders & Hazel.

The townhouse is located in the center of Olhão, making both the boulevard and the ferry within walking distance.

The coastal town of Olhão, known as the capital of the Ria Formosa, is the perfect starting point to explore this enchanting natural park and its picturesque islands. Olhão is surrounded by islands with beautiful white beaches without the usual mass tourism for which the Algarve is known. Soulful Olhão is a city with many faces and lively all year round. You will find the market halls along the waterfront; These are a ‘must’ visit because of the wide variety of very fresh fish and seafood straight from the harbor and an extensive range of locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables. The market halls are surrounded by terraces and it is a great place to sit and enjoy the view of the boats with jazz music in the background from the local café.

As soon as you enter the house you will be surprised by the authentic elements of the house. These immediately create a pleasant atmosphere.

The townhouse is suitable for 4-6 people and has 2 floors, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a sofa bed.

The sunlight shines in wonderfully in the morning on the terrace on the first floor. From the patio a staircase leads to the roof terrace where there is a jacuzzi with a lounge set. From the roof terrace you have a beautiful view over the roofs of Olhão.

#2 min walk to the nearest supermarket

#5 min walk to the ferry with which you can visit the islands of Ria Formosa.

Bed linen and bath towels are provided, as well as international TV channels including Netflix and free Wi-Fi. The house is equipped with air conditioning for hot summer days and heating for cool winter evenings. Around Casa Perto do Mar you can usually park your car in the surrounding streets. However, due to the central location of the house, a car is not necessary for a pleasant stay.

This summer we were with our daughters aged 17 and 19 in the lovely house Casapertodomar. What a nice place to stay! In the middle of the town, you can walk everywhere. But it is located in a quiet street. The beautiful bedrooms with private bathroom on the ground floor, one floor higher the attractive living room and kitchen, which is fully equipped. The terrace off the living room has beautiful white cloths so you can sit in the shade. You can also take the stairs to the roof terrace where there is a lovely Jaccuzi and a lounge sofa, where you can enjoy the sun..
We had a wonderful time here, but that couldn’t be otherwise in such a nice, tastefully decorated house where everything is there.

There was a week available at casa perto do mar. How lucky that we were able to get away spontaneously during the high season and what a success this was!
The house is beautiful, the interior has been carefully selected. We felt completely comfortable in this house. It is spacious and fully equipped.
We had a delicious breakfast on the terrace outside and relaxed in the jacuzzi on the roof terrace. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor, which we found super convenient. Nice and cool and when you come from a day at the beach you can immediately take a shower! The village itself is very nice and cute. A real fishing village but also with very nice shops. With the ferry you can easily travel to the islands where you can have a wonderful day on the beach.

Had a wonderful time in the beautiful Casa Perto do Mar. Olhao is also a really nice town with nice restaurants. Everthing was nearby Being able to get fresh groceries every morning. We also took a boat to the islands in Ria Formosa a few times for a beach day. Very nice atmosphere there! House is fully equipped! Wonderful beds, complete kitchen, nice terrace and of course the jacuzzi! 🙂 Had nice contact with Dorine and received great tips from her! Thankyou!

What a beautiful place! From top to bottom; everything is decorated with love and a great sense of detail, right down to the cups. The house is fully equipped with beautiful views everywhere. The bedrooms – with bathroom – are very beautiful, attractive and cozy. Beds sleep perfectly. Beautiful roof terraces on the first and second floors with lovely seating areas and a great jacuzzi. Would like to stay much longer, but unfortunately it’s already over! Thanks🙏🏻
